Call for Board Nominations 2025

Dear Esteemed Members,

We wish to notify you that during this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), two board positions and one supervisory committee position will fall vacant. The elections will be conducted in accordance with the newly adopted Elections and Vetting Policy.

Board Positions and Constituencies 

Under the new policy, constituencies have been restructured as follows:

  1. Strathmore University Constituency (Strathmore University) – 4 Board Positions
  2. Strathmore School/Kianda School Constituency – 2 Board Positions
  3. Uzima Constituency -(SRCC, Quest Works, Alumni, Creates, Eastland’s College, Fontana Bookshop, Tigoni, Thigiri, Hodari Boys, Kimlea Girls, Kibondeni College, Karima Residence, Elmolo Residence, Satima, Ewaso Club, Watani, Senaca, Fanusi Study Center, Roshani, Imara Educational Foundation, Mzima Students, Samawati Medical, Kivulini, Mvule Catering, Divas, Off-Payroll Members, Former Employees) – 1 Board Position 

The vacancies available for this year’s elections are:

  1. One board position in the Strathmore University Constituency
  2. One board position in the Strathmore/Kianda School Constituency

Note: Members are only eligible to vie for positions falling vacant within their respective constituencies.

Supervisory Committee Vacancy

To ensure diverse representation, a maximum of one supervisory committee member can be elected from any given center. This year, we have one vacant position in the Supervisory Committee.

Eligibility Criteria for Board Applicants 

To qualify for election to the board, members must meet the following financial requirements:

  1. A minimum share capital of Ksh 20,000.
  2. A minimum deposit contribution of Ksh 400,000.

Application and Vetting Process 

  1. Interested members must complete the BOARD NOMINATION FORM and send to

mzimarecruitment@strathmore.edu .

  1. Applications will be reviewed by the Vetting Only cleared candidates will be allowed to campaign.
  2. Application Deadline: Via Email Submission, Friday, 14th February 2025
